Ceiling Fan Installation in Winter Garden
New and replacement fans, fans where there's no fixture, lanai and porch fans.
About this service in Winter Garden
New fans, replacements, fans where there was no fixture before, and outdoor-rated fans for lanais and porches. Tell us about the rooms and ceilings and we’ll connect you with an independent electrical contractor.
Many Winter Garden homes come with pre-wired fan locations, so fan work is often about upgrading builder fans, adding fans on lanais and outdoor kitchens, and installing wall controls or smart switches. Lanai fans should be damp- or wet-rated, and fans on high great-room ceilings need the correct downrod length.

Frequently asked questions
Often, if the ceiling box is rated for fans and properly supported. Fans are heavier than most light fixtures and they vibrate, so a regular light box can loosen over time. The electrician checks the box and the framing above it and installs a fan-rated brace box if needed. If you want separate wall control of the light and the fan, the switch wiring may need an extra conductor.
Choose a damp-rated fan for covered areas protected from direct rain, and a wet-rated fan where rain or spray can reach it. The rating is on the box and the fan’s label. Outdoor fans also need a properly sealed box and weather-resistant controls. Indoor fans used outside rust and fail quickly in Central Florida’s humidity.
Many electricians install customer-supplied fans. Tell them the model in advance so they can check its weight, mounting and controls. Some don’t warranty fixtures they didn’t supply, so ask how the warranty works.
